I reached out to Laura to help my son prepare for his music aptitude tests for secondary school admissions. Starting singing lessons with Laura was one of the best decisions I made. I was anxious about singing publicly and knew my technique needed a lot of work. Laura is a skillful, professional musician, who motivates, inspires, and instils that joy of learning which is so important when learning to play a musical instrument. Her style of teaching is one based on encouragement and a 'can do' approach. Her enthusiasm and cheery nature make the lessons fun but also challenging. She watches carefully as I play and picks up on fingering, looking for patterns to help me visualise what I need to do and finding ways to enable me to overcome those moments when you believe you just won't be able to ever get it right. Having returned to singing after a complete change in my vocals, Laura has worked with me to re-learn how to use my voice and get my confidence back to the point I’m now returning to musical theatre.
